Flexibility and Heart Health

Flexibility is one of the three portions of fitness, along with cardio and strength training, though many Americans forego the stretching portion of their exercise routine. You may want to re-think skipping out on the stretching as a 2009 study published in the American Journal of Physiology has linked increased flexibility to decreased heart risk for heart attacks and strokes.

Chiropractic Care for Super Bowl Champs

 Did you know that the quarter back of Super Bowl Champions, The Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers is the son of a chiropractor? Chiropractic is a large part of maintaining the health of many football players as shown by a survey of the head athletic trainers for multiple NFL teams. 77% of these athletic trainers reported to have referred to chiropractors for players and in 2002, 31% of NFL teams had a chiropractor as part of their staff.

Brain Function Increased by Running

Aerobic exercise has always been known for its many health benefits, but a recent article states that those that engage in cardio exercise, and more specifically running, actually have an increase in brainpower. Many CEO’s that participated in an Ironman triathlon called the CEO Challenge state that “without aerobic exercise, they wouldn’t be CEO’s.” Just one more reason to get moving!
